A: The FW 2016 collection has wrapped up the pre-order season and samples are available for sale at Mod + Ethico in Chicago's West Loop. Q. What is the Chicago Fashion Incubator at Macy's on State Street?
A. I will do custom work in certain cases, depending on the project and your location/schedule. For large wholesale orders, I can customize a design detail from the collection exclusively for your shop. If you have something in mind, please do contact me.
A. As with any new business, building the right team is critical. I currently work with a seamstress, patternmaker, and 2 interns, but I am always looking for new people to collaborate with including: design + marketing interns, stylists, models, filmmakers, writers, artists, etc. If you are intrigued and want to get involved in any capacity, please reach out HERE.
A. The CFI is a recognized 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit established in 2008. It's mission is to make a meaningful economic impact in Chicago by giving fashion designers technical product development and business training to create innovative products and launch globally competitive businesses based in Chicago. It is housed on the 11th floor of Macy's on State Street in Chicago, IL, though it is not part of Macy's. Designers-in-Residence are not considered employees or designers for Macy's. VARYFORM is based at the CFI until March of 2017.
