Lots of exciting things going on at VARYFORM....read ahead.
I'm happy to announce I've relocated to a new studio space at PSS in Logan Square. This marks the end of my two year residency at the Chicago Fashion Incubator. I'll be sharing my room with one of my best friends and former coworkers Alicia Enrique. We hope to have a small open studio soon, keep your eye on your email inbox and our Instagram for updates.
NEW YORK FASHION WEEK APPEARANCE
I was lucky to be chosen from the incubator program to design an evening gown for the beautiful & strong Lorraine Toussaint (Orange Is The New Black, Law & Order...). She wore it on the runway at the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women - Red Dress Collection show on February 9, 2017. This event brought much needed attention to heart disease and stroke care. It was also a fantastic experience to be able to do custom eveningwear and debut my work on the first day of fashion week in NYC. It really put my design skills to the test as I had a little under 10 days to go from nothing to final gown for a client based in another city! Thank you to Macy's for the opportunity and to Go Red For Women for Organizing such a wonderful event.
In the next several weeks, I'll be posting existing styles on the website for sale in a shoppable format for the FIRST TIME. I'll also be announcing the date for the new Pre-Order period on NineteenthAmendment.com for the Spring/Summer 2017 collection. It's an optimistic and very romantic collection of silk & hemp/silk separates. I can't wait to share it with you! In the meantime, reach out to me with any questions you have. I welcome custom and made-to-order requests.
